Ding Dong The Butcher's Dead!

Fox News has just reported the happy news that Saddam Hussein, the "Butcher of Bagdad" has been executed. As Rush Limbaugh would say, he has "Assumed Room Temperature".

All I can say is 'Good Riddance'. The world is a better, cleaner place with an evil soul like his no longer in it. Hmm. You know, I think that a little song might be in order.

A happy, Saddam-free New Year to Iraq and the world!

'Tis the Season for Forgiveness

Especially if you are 20, single, and an incredibly hot blonde young woman.

If you didn't follow the title link over to Jawa Report I will sum it up for you:

Tara Connor, has been forgiven for illegal underage drinking, making out with Katie Blair Miss Teen USA, in public and attending a sexual orgy. All of which is a blatant violation of the Miss USA Pageant official Rules.

Apparently it's ok because:

"I've always been a believer in second chances," [Donald] Trump said at a news conference. He and Conner met earlier Tuesday morning.

(Donald Trump co-owns the Pageant organization with NBC, and is the executive director.) Since we know that Connor is sexually loose, and Trump isn't exactly known for his prudishness, one has to wonder how exactly she "convinced" him to let her keep the crown.

Of course, she may have simply batted her eyes at him and put on a convincing waterworks show for all I know. Goodness knows I'd have a hard time refusing a woman as good looking as Ms. Connor pretty much anything she wanted. One would think, however, that a tough customer like Trump would have more fortitude than I in such a situation.

There is one other possibility, and that being that if Trump dropped Tara, he'd also have to drop the runner up, Miss California USA Tamiko Nash, as she is a known associate of none other than Gansta Rapper (and recently arrested on drug and weapons possession charges) Snoop Dog. I suppose that it was simply easier to deal with Tara's indiscretions than anything that might have come up with Tamiko.

So, in the spirit of forgiveness, I present for your viewing pleasure, Miss USA Tara Connor:

Ahhh.. My soul feels so much better after being so forgiving.

Merry Christmas to all!
